German industrial designer and studio owner, Stefan Diez develops furniture, tableware, bags, accessories and exhibition designs.

His introduction to furniture design began in 1991 when for three years he worked as a cabinet maker. Having spent a year working in Mumbai and Poona, India, Diez returned to Germany in 1996 to attend the State Academy of Art and Design, Stuttgart. Before founding his own design studio in Munich in January 2003, Diez worked for Richard Sapper and then Konstantin Grcic. 

Diez has produced designs for Rosenthal, Authentics, Elmar Flötotto, Schönbuch, Thonet, Merten, Moroso und Wilkhan. His award-winning products mirror his innovative and creative character as well as his intensive work with materials. His products are minimalistic designs with an unpretentious sense of humor.

His first collaboration with e15 began in 2008, resulting in the Houdini chair family, and This, That, Other in 2013.
